STREETSCAPES
The term ‘Streetscape’ has become a popular part of our cultural vernacular. With the advent of the automobile there came a time when people began to consider the environment and the places though which we traveled – in ways both vehicular and pedestrian. Our streets reflect what we see from the automobile and the movement of people and vehicles within that environment.
In our work we respect the experience of those who walk in that dominantly vehicular environment, as both car and pedestrian encounter places of commerce, passage, intersection and rest – in the adventure of travel, and the need for beauty and order, within what is often the chaos of the street.
